What is Learning Rewards?

Learning Rewards is an online learning environment that aims to extend children and enable them to reach their learning potential. It is an online tutoring system that utilises a number of online and paper based resources to challenge each child at their level. The site is run by New Zealand trained teachers and each child is provided with a personalised learning programme. 

what feedback do we receive?

All learners are communicated with regularly by a New Zealand registered teacher. All parents recieve fortnightly reports based on their child's focus areas. Literacy and Mathematics reports are aligned to both the New Zealand Curriculum and New Zealand National Standards so that you can be confident your child is progressing at their level.

How are Learning reward points earned?

Each activity you complete on Learning Rewards earns you 10 LRP. This is updated each night on your personal home learning page. Each week the top 10 students are recognised in the Hall of Fame.

Who can see my child's personal homepage?

Privacy permissions are set so that only you, your child and your child's Learning Rewards teacher can access their personal homepage. 

Does Learning rewards link to the New Zealand curriculum?

All of our learning activities and content link directly to the New Zealand Curriculum. Check your child's personal learning homepage for your individual learning goals. For an outline of our curriculum progression and specific learning outcomes for each level please click here.

What equipment do we need to access the learning rewards activities?

We offer a combination of online and paper based learning activities. As such your child needs access to the internet on a laptop, computer, iPad or tablet. Access to a printer and scanner is beneficial as some work is emailed for you to print off and scan back. If you do not have access to a printer and scanner then we are able to send paper copies using NZ Post.

When will my child be able to access their personal learning homepage?

We aim to have each child's homepage set up within 24 hours of joining the site. As Learning Rewards caters to the individual needs of each child the resources offered will differ according to the child's learning needs. Resources will come online for each child as they are ready to progress.

How does my child log in to the site?

Each learner is provided with an individual Learning Rewards Google Apps for Education log in. Details of this are emailed to the parent account, usually within 24 hours of joining the site.

How do I pay if I don't have a credit card?

Email us using the contact form, below, and we will send you our bank details so that you can pay by bank transfer. Remember to let us know which Pass you would like to purchase.
